a range of Electronic Cash Registers - January 2010
As we obtain increased market share within the POS arena, a large
segment of the market seeks entry level solutions , namely electronic
cash registers ( ECR ) .
  
We have subsequently aligned ourselves with an
international brand of ECR's capable of communicating with PC based back
office management software.
These robust ECR terminals can be programmed via PC
interface and daily sales downloaded to a PC.
In our ECR portfolio, we can handle PLU's from 200
- 20 000, Departments 16 - 299 and depending on model selected - barcode
scanning & remote kitchen printing is an option.
This offering now fully compliments our PC based
inteliPOS solution. .

Offices have expanded to facilitiate a new office block , effectively an
additional 80sqm office space. In light of the ideal location
overlooking Beyers Naude Drive, the objectives set in motion in 2007
were finally completed.

Plankomat
& BR Technologies have entered into a well suited partnership to
provide best of breed services & technology to the entire
catering industry.
Both
companies share substantial experience, knowledge and insight into
cashless POS solutions and are in a position to satisfy a host of
different requirements / needs by utilizing the most suitable POS
software suite applicable to specific units / operations.
With
our combined resources and intellectual property we can facilitate a
combination of payment methods ie cash , credit & prepaid accounts,
as well as , provide POS modules for restaurant mode , as well as,
canteen type environments where food is served and paid for, prior to
seating.
A
comprehensive stock control & recipe management module is now
readily available for deployment in units which have this need.
We are now able to provide OFF LINE mode operations whereby POS terminal
are able to continue transacting if the network is not operational for a
limited period of time. Thereafter, once connectivity has been
re-established, POS terminals systematically synchronize with the system
server and update Database tables accordingly.

Investec Group nationally, where the regional catering departments
benefit from POS solutions supplied & supported by BR Technology.

A new facelift for our range of coinboxes - March 2006
Plankomat
is pleased to announce to all its clients, the imminent launch of
their next generation Universal Coinbox (MK III). With the
introduction of a LCD display interface and internal audit facility we
have introduced exciting new features, beneficial for users and
operators alike.
It
is no longer necessary to entrust others to declare cash takings
without the appropriate electronic audit facility. Both the total
"cash" value as well as the total number of "vends" made are digitally recorded. System
administrators can view these counters on the display and reset
counters, if authorized to do so.
The
introduction of our latest software utility known as Watchdog Lite,
clients are able to offer a prepayment for use on PC workstations
& access to the internet, either by connecting a coinbox or card
reader.

for Win2000 or WinXP Pro systems equipped with a serial communications
port.
