Our next generation POS software is configured to manage
both cash and card based transactions.
Our solution is not specific to any particular card type,
and we continuously endeavour to adapt our software modules
to most card technologies used in the marketplace today,
namely:
- Proximity based cards
( new generation )
- Swipe based card
technology ( old generation )
Cash handling is initiated
by simply installing an electronic cash drawer at the
various POS terminals. |
How does the coinbox distinguish between various coin types ?
The EMP coin mechanism, also known as a coin validator, electronically measures 3 different parameters: coin material, density & diameter.
As the relevant coin is inserted into the coin mechanism it passes through 3 different electro-magnetic "fields", each designed to measure a unique property ie material type, diameter & density. These values are then compared to the values stored within the coin mechanism and a split
decision is made as to the coin value. If the value is not matched with any coin type stored in memory, the coin is automatically rejected, alternatively it is accepted and the relevant electrical output is generated. |
